University Rovira i Virgili. Tarragona (URV)

The university "Rovira i Virgili" of Tarragona (URV) In June 2005, hosted the II Mediterranean University Forum under the auspices of the European Commission, through its Jean Monnet programme. Main objective was the provision of policies guidelines for a more integrated Euro-Mediterranean Partnership for Higher Education and the widespread of the Bologna’s Process. Since that date the Euro-Mediterranean Permanent University Forum (EPUF), network of more than a 100 Euro-Med HE education and Research Institutions, operates with its headquarter at URV . EPUF contributes to the promotion of a knowledge society, encourages collaboration and dialogue between the region’s educational institutions and cultural traditions, promotes a sustainable development of scientific and technological exchange in which, education and civil society are also involved. URV is also fully involved in quality assurance issues as full member of Agency for QA of the Catalan Universities (AQU).

Role in the project:

The partner will coordinate all dissemination activities and recording all dissemination events and local seminars according to partner needs, together with the coordination of field visits of EU experts in Tunisia and Moroccan local events. URIV will also be in charge of the coordination of web communication and the spread of project results among stakeholders at Euro-Med level. The University will provide expertise on local University’s observatories management and organization. Participating to training sessions for Tunisian and Moroccan observatories staff. The raising network will be also promoted and information will be widespread at Mediterranean level among Euromed Permanent University Forum channels in order to maximize impact on the area.
